The Security Officer position will safeguard our company's information systems and data from potential security breaches. The successful candidate will implement security measures, monitor and analyze security incidents, and provide recommendations to enhance our overall information security posture.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
Conduct security awareness training for employees and monitor results.
Conduct risk assessment, risk treatment and internal security audit.
Monitor security alerts and incidents; respond promptly to mitigate potential results.
Participate in developing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats, and security technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices across the organization.
Evaluate and recommend security technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve the organization's security infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in Information Security or related field.
Knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC2, CSA STAR).
Knowledge on data protection and data privacy.
Hands on experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, etc.
Strong understanding of networking protocols, encryption, authentication, and security technologies.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
A degree in Psychology or Sociology is preferred, bringing a unique perspective to the intersection of human behavior and information security.
