At Horter, we're more than just a financial services provider—we're a company that thrives on relationships and meaningful client interactions.
We're looking for a Client Relations Specialist to be that person in our Columbus office: the first voice a prospect hears, the steady point of contact a client relies on, and the connective tissue between our clients and their advisor at every stage of the relationship.\n This is a relationship-driven role for someone who genuinely enjoys people, thrives on staying organized amid a busy day, and takes pride in making every client interaction feel personal, timely, and well cared for.\n \n About the Role\n As the Client Relations Specialist for our Columbus office, you'll own the client and prospect relationship from first contact through long-term, loyal-client status.
You'll work closely with local advisors to support prospecting and client relations, ensure every client's personalized plan stays on track, and help build the kind of experience that turns new clients into lifelong ones — often across generations of the same family.\n \n What You'll Do\n\n Client & Prospect Communication: Serve as the first point of contact for client inquiries — responding quickly and thoughtfully to keep satisfaction and engagement high.\n Relationship Development: Build and maintain relationships across the full client lifecycle, from initial prospect conversations through long-term client status, including engaging with both clients and their heirs or parents as families evolve.\n Seminars & Events: Prepare seminar documents and materials, manage attendee follow-up and post-event paperwork, and coordinate offsite seminar logistics including venue setup, on-site materials, and day-of execution for the specified events you’d be responsible for.\n Client Service Engagement: Manage prospect, onboarding, and ongoing service tasks with precision, logging every call, email, and follow-up in our CRM system so nothing falls through the cracks.\n Pipeline Assistance: Help drive the client pipeline forward — qualifying first appointments, coordinating introductions across divisions, and preparing seminar materials, registrations, and post-event follow-up.\n Referral Generation: Generate and nurture referrals alongside the advisor, including introducing and educating clients on our referral events, programs, etc.\n\n \n What You Bring\n\n Experience in a client-facing, relationship management, or customer service role — financial services, wealth management, or a professional services environment is a plus, but not required.\n You're energized by engaging clients and prospects directly, including having natural conversations about referrals.
A natural communicator who builds trust quickly and enjoys being the go-to person for clients.\n Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple relationships and deadlines without losing the personal touch.
Comfortable working in a CRM or task-tracking system; prior CRM experience is a plus.\n You take initiative, follow through consistently, and bring a professional presence to every client interaction.\n A proactive, team-oriented mindset — you look for ways to improve the client experience, not just maintain it.\n\n \n Why Join Us\n\n Be a Central Part of the Client Experience: Your work directly shapes how clients and prospects feel about working with us, from their first appointment through becoming long-term clients.\n Variety & Growth: Between client service, seminars, and referrals, this role offers a dynamic mix of responsibilities and the chance to expand your skills.\n Collaborative Culture: You'll work closely with our advisors, office manager and broader team in a supportive environment where your contributions are recognized.\n Competitive Compensation: We offer a competitive salary, benefits, and performance-based incentives to reward your contributions.\n\n \n Compensation & Benefits\n\n Salary: $45,000-$60,000 based on experience.
Performance-based bonuses available\n Benefits: 401(k) with matching, Dental/Health/Vision Insurance, Paid Time Off/Parental Leave\n Location/Job Type: Full-time; In-Office; Worthington, OH 43235\n Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with additional hours as needed to meet business demands.\n Ability to commute/relocate: Required to reliably commute or relocate to Worthington, OH 43235 before starting work.\n\n \n Join us at an exciting time of growth and opportunity as we continue to build an exceptional client experience at Horter.
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by building strong client relationships, improving the way we serve our clients, and helping our team operate at its best.
If you are proactive, organized, relationship-driven, and excited to be part of a collaborative team focused on client success, we would love to hear from you.
