This role bridges the gap between Product Managers, Technology, Operations, and cross-functional teams.

REQUIRES:

• Sprint Management: Active participation in sprint planning and reviews to ensure payment features are fully refined and ready for development.

• Tactical Decision-Making: Ability to make day-to-day choices regarding payment priorities, feature trade-offs, and defect resolutions.

• Documentation: Experience maintaining process flows, banking business rules, payment scenarios, and release notes.

• Stakeholder Management: Skill in communicating updates, risks, and changes across Product, Operations, Servicing, and Technology departments.

• Core Agile Tools: Strong, hands-on experience using Jira (backlog/sprints) and Confluence (documentation/collaboration).

• Technical Payment Knowledge: Working knowledge of ACH and/or wire transfer processes (initiation, processing, settlement, exceptions, returns, and controls).

• Risk & Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of payment controls, operational risk, fraud prevention, and regulatory frameworks including NACHA, OFAC, approvals, and banking audit requirements.

Core Responsibilities & Daily Execution

• Backlog Ownership: Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog specifically for consumer payment rails (Zelle®, bill pay, internal/external transfers, ACH, and wires).

• Requirements Definition: Write clear user stories defining functionality, backend payment rules, exception flows, and customer experience considerations.

• Sprint Facilitation: Participate in sprint planning and reviews to ensure payment features are refined, well-understood, and ready for development.

• Tactical Decision-Making: Make day-to-day choices regarding priorities, feature trade-offs, and defect resolutions to prevent development bottlenecks.

• Documentation & Mapping: Maintain exhaustive product documentation, including process flows, business rules, payment scenarios, and release notes across all payment types.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Team Alignment: Partner cross-functionally with UX, Development, IT, Fraud, Compliance, Servicing, and Marketing to ensure updates meet both business goals and customer safety expectations.

• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the central point of contact to broadcast progress, updates, risks, and changes across Product, Operations, Servicing, and Technology divisions.
