Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Full-Time New Mexico 4-Day Work Week

Join a leading adult cardiothoracic surgery team providing advanced cardiac and thoracic care in the heart of New Mexico. This is a great opportunity for an experienced CT Surgery APP to work alongside a collaborative team and play an important role in a growing surgical program.

Shared weekday and weekend APP call rotation

Join a team of 3 CT surgeons and 4 experienced APPs

Growing thoracic and robotic surgery program

First-assist in the OR for full-scope cardiothoracic procedures

Conduct pre- and post-operative patient visits

Perform daily rounds

Remove chest tubes and pacing wires

Assist with discharge planning

Work closely with CT surgeons and APPs to provide coordinated, high-quality care

Support the continued growth of robotic and thoracic surgical services

Experienced CT Surgery, thoracic, or congenital cardiac surgery APP

New graduates are not eligible

EVH experience required

Robotic surgery experience preferred

PA-C: Master's degree and current PA-C certification or

NP: Master's degree in Nursing

New Mexico license or eligibility to obtain

Current BLS and ACLS

DEA registration
