Divisional Controller

We are looking for a Divisional Controller to work for our client.

The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.\n \n This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting leader to own the financial operations of a specific division, with the flexibility of a remote role for candidates based within 100 miles of Columbus, OH.\n \n Responsibilities\n\n Oversee all accounting operations for the assigned division, including general ledger, close, and reporting\n Ensure the accuracy and integrity of divisional financial statements in accordance with GAAP\n Partner with divisional leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning\n Analyze divisional financial performance and provide insights and recommendations to leadership\n Manage divisional audit requests and support the broader corporate audit process\n Develop and maintain strong internal controls within the division\n Manage and mentor divisional accounting staff\n Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and reporting requirements\n Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy at the divisional level\n Collaborate with corporate finance/accounting teams to ensure consistency across the organization\n\n \n Qualifications\n\n Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred\n 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior leadership experience\n Prior experience in a divisional, multi-unit, or decentralized accounting environment preferred\n Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting\n Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills\n Ability to work independently in a remote capacity while maintaining strong cross-functional relationships\n Must reside within 100 miles of Columbus, OH\n\n \n What Our Client Offers\n\n Remote work flexibility for candidates within 100 miles of Columbus, OH\n Competitive salary with performance-based bonus potential\n High level of autonomy paired with strong support from corporate leadership\n Meaningful opportunity to shape financial operations at the divisional level\n\n \n
