Job Description:

We are seeking a Marketing Specialist, Sales Enablement for a very important client

The Sr. Marketing Specialist Contractor will help drive the continued success of the fastest growing division of the company.

Through the day-to-day operation of the company business’ knowledge management platform and content development process, they will enable sales and marketing teams to deliver consistent, effective and engaging experiences with prospects, customers and influencers at each stage of the buyer journey. Additionally, they will support the design and delivery of captivating communications, resources, tools and collateral; acting as a bridge between product, marketing and sales functions.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled writer and editor and have experience working in a marketing communications, sales enablement or a product marketing role. They will be versed in working collaboratively in a matrixed environment to achieve goals and drive business success.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

-Design and implement stakeholder intake process to support new content/collateral requests from concept to delivery on the knowledge management platform and web properties.

-Own the spectrum of web and print content; translate technical product information into compelling copy for internal and external content (e.g., product briefs, brochures, job aids, etc.) to generate demand and build the company brand with customers, prospects and stake holders.

-Drive editing cycles to ensure content/collateral created is market ready.

-Work closely with key stakeholders across product, marketing and sales to understand their needs and support product launch planning and post-launch content/collateral refinement and adoption.

-Coordinate the efforts of content owners and the brand team to ensure consistency of look, tone and messaging of any/all work product.

-Standardization and consolidation of existing sales enablement/marketing content and collateral to central knowledge management platform.

-Support the creation of a measurement strategy for the company's knowledge management platform and advise on tool optimization (e.g., system performance, taxonomy, user activity, tagging/metadata, etc.).

-Liaise with vendor partner on business needs for knowledge management platform implementation and upgrades.

-Onboard/offboard knowledge management platform users.

-Support the creation of internal Sales Operations communications and presentations.

-Work cross-functionally with web team to ensure placement of customer-facing collateral (pdfs, case studies, videos, etc.) on the company website.

-Support the commencement of web projects and initiatives by providing insight and access to supplemental collateral and resources.

-Support ad-hoc projects and requests from the Marketing Communications Manager and other members of department leadership.


The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:


-Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field.

-5 to 7 years of marketing experience, preferably focused on product marketing within a B2B organization.

-Project and stakeholder management experience.

-Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills including, presenting, editing and copywriting, as well as accuracy and attention to detail.

-Marketing content optimization and sales enablement ROI.

-Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.

-Ability to work autonomously as well as collaborate with other areas of marketing and communications.

-Proven experience learning a new technology quickly to drive business results.

-Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook.

-Excellent interpersonal skills and strong executive presence.

-Samples of previous work will be requested, including writing samples.


-1 to 3 years of knowledge management/marketing asset management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Webdam, Seismic, Highspot, etc.) experience; direct experience using MarcomCentral is a plus.

-Understanding of the components of common web technology (e.g., HTML, CSS), web design and graphics.

-Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign to edit existing templates.

-Understands UX/UI design principles and best practices across web and mobile.

-Experience with Google Analytics and Business Intelligence reports.

-Experience with video editing, story boarding and lightweight video training tools (Brainshark, Udacity, etc.) is a plus.
