We are seeking an experienced VMware NSX Administrator to lead the design, deployment, configuration, and ongoing administration of enterprise VMware NSX environments. In this role, you will ensure stability, security, and high performance of virtualized network infrastructure while collaborating closely with systems, networking, and security teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and administer VMware NSX-T environments, including logical routing, switching, load balancing, and distributed firewall policies.

• Define and manage micro-segmentation strategies to enforce robust network security postures across virtualized workloads.

• Perform lifecycle management, routine maintenance, updates, and health monitoring of NSX components and integrated VMware platforms.

• Troubleshoot complex network issues involving network overlays, transport nodes, edge appliances, and physical network integrations.

• Implement automation and scripting to streamline operational tasks, enhance consistency, and support disaster recovery readiness.

• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including network topology diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and configuration records.

• Support incident response activities for virtualized networking and participate in on-call rotation for critical infrastructure escalation.

Candidate Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing enterprise VMware NSX-T architectures.

• Strong background in network virtualization concepts (overlays, GENEVE/VXLAN, BGP/OSPF routing, and distributed firewalls).

• Experience with VMware vSphere/vCenter environments and integration with physical networking infrastructure.

• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell/PowerCLI, Python, or Ansible).

• Solid understanding of enterprise network security, micro-segmentation principles, and traffic analysis tools.

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in large-scale virtualized environments.
