Job Summary

We are a premier commercial masonry contractor seeking an experienced, highly skilled **Construction Masonry Foreman / Supervisor** to lead our field crews. This role specializes in structural and architectural Concrete Masonry Unit (CMU) block installation, brickwork, and structural masonry assemblies on high-density New York City job sites.

The ideal candidate must possess an active **62-Hour SST Supervisor Card** and demonstrate a strong track record of managing crews, maintaining aggressive schedules, and strictly enforcing NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Field Leadership:** Direct, supervise, and coordinate day-to-day activities of bricklayers, masons, and laborers.

* **CMU Technical Execution:** Execute precise structural layouts from architectural and engineering blueprints. Oversee vertical and horizontal rebar reinforcement placement, bond beams, lintels, and cell grouting coordination.

* **Quality Control:** Ensure all CMU block lines, tooling, and mortar joints meet strict structural tolerances, project specifications, and local building codes.

* **Safety & Compliance:** Enforce NYC DOB Local Law 196 regulations on site. Maintain daily supervisor logs, conduct mandatory daily toolbox talks, and ensure proper setup and inspection of supported scaffolding.

**Material & Trade Coordination:** Manage inventory on site, estimate daily material yields, and coordinate closely with project managers, general contractors, and MEP trades.

Mandatory Requirements

**Valid 62-Hour NYC SST Supervisor Card** (Must be active and verifiable).

**OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification** (Within the last 5 years).

**4-Hour Supported Scaffold User/Refresher** certificate.

* Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Masonry Foreman or Supervisor.

* Expert, hands-on knowledge of CMU block installation, commercial brickwork, and structural reinforcement.

* Ability to read and interpret complex architectural drawings, structural layouts, and shop drawings.

* Strong communication skills in English (bilingual in Spanish is a plus).

* Valid Driver’s License.
