In the role of Senior Transportation Engineer, we'll count on you to:

Provide transportation engineering services for transit, highway, state agencies, cities and counties

Take responsibility for corridor studies, forecast modeling, traffic analysis, transportation planning, and impact fee development

Assimilate and manage data

Collect project-related data as needed, which may include research, interviews with government agencies and clients, map reviews, land use surveys, and socioeconomic analysis

Prepare constraints mapping

Prepare required documents such as categorical exclusions, environmental assessments, environmental impact studies and other technical reports

Assist in preparation for and participate in public information meetings and hearings

Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Planning, Engineering or a related field

A minimum of 10 years' experience with transportation planning

Possess excellent analytical and communication skills

Understanding of transit planning principles

Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and personnel

Solid business development skills; demonstrated ability to relate well to clients; and demonstrated presentation skills

An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

Masters of Science Degree in Civil Engineering

Minimum of 15 years design, planning, or traffic analysis experience

Experience designing, planning, or analyzing urban arterials, rural highways, intersections, freeways, and/or multi-level interchanges.

Experience with Traffic Impacts Studies

Experience with CAD software, Synchro and Vissim, Microsoft Office applications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Planning or closely related field

A minimum of 5 years experience with transportation planning

MS Office, CAD, ArcInfo/ArcView
