Position Summary
Warehouse Associate will support operations team by supporting daily warehouse activities to ensure efficient receipt, storage, handling, kitting, transportation and distribution materials. This role could perform a variety of warehouse functions including kitting materials, loading and unloading of materials, inventory accuracy and coordinating material movement between warehouse and job site. This position plays a critical role in supporting operational requirements by ensuring materials are accurately received, organized, tracked and delivered in a safe and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
Material Kitting
Prepare product kits according to production requirements, ensuring correct items are included and material is scanned and labeled correctly.
Repack materials into approved containers and build kit ready pallets.
Receiving and Inventory Management
Unload and inspect materials received.
Verify quantities and condition.
Scan materials into management system for tracking.
Perform inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory transactions to maintain accurate records.
Variance research and reconciliation.
Material Handling
Coordinate the movement of materials, equipment and supplies throughout the warehouse or production environment.
Move materials/replenish materials to kitting line.
Stage bulk pack pallets.
Manage return dunnage and containers.
Support logistic activities to ensure efficient workflow and minimal operational downtime.
Operate forklift, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
Line-Side Attendants
Manage materials and support activities at point of use.
Receipt of materials to production staging.
Issuance of materials to point of use operations team.
Material usage tracking.
Manage empty bins/return to warehouse.
Requirements
3+ years of warehousing and logistics experience
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong organizational skills
Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 100 lbs)
Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
Forklift experience
Preferred Skills
Experience with SAP WMS and ERP systems
Bachelor’s degree or similar work experience
People management skills
Proactive, data-based problem-solving work ethic
Track record of process improvements, and ability to design, implement and measure processes effectively
OSHA certification
Forklift Certification
