n Hunter Recruiting is seeking a travel Pathologists' Assistant for a travel job in Columbus, Ohio.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Pathologists' Assistant\n Discipline: Allied Health Professional\n Start Date: 10/05/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 8 hours\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n Pathology TechnicianColumbus, OH$60-65/hr13-Week Contract\n M-F 10:30 AM -7:30 PM\n The Pathology Technician will be responsible for the high-complexity laboratory testing of human tissue specimens, including gross description, dissection, preparation, and meticulous record-keeping while adhering to strict laboratory and quality control protocols.Pathology Technician Responsibilities:\n \n Working in a lab that receives specimens --mostly benign lesions (95%) with some colon cancer resections and native livers.\n Some procurement for research, selecting tissue from POCs for karyotyping and biopsy grossing when staffing requires it.\n Assists with the preparation of freshly removed surgical specimens for cytologic studies.\n Assumes responsibility for good documentation practices and maintains clear and legible records.\n Follows the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.\n \n Adheres to the laboratory's quality control policies, documents all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and maintenance performed.\n \n \n Pathology Technician Requirements:\n \n 1 year experience including education/clinical experience.\n Required Certifications: PA (ASCP) \n \n About Hunter Recruiting\n \n Founded in 2006, Hunter Recruiting is a national technical staffing leader.\n Hunter helps qualified job seekers find employers throughout the United\n States.
