Electrician

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

This position does not supervise others.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

Performing electrical work and preventative maintenance on all machines and equipment

Repairing cranes, starters, conveyer belts, single phase and three phase motors, and any other pieces of equipment

Installing breakers, light fixtures, wiring, outlets, and other electrical equipment based on technical blueprints and job orders

Documenting all work completed and materials used

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

2 – 3 years of electrical experience

Understanding and ability to adhere to safety procedures

Ability to read blueprints, electrical diagrams, and technical documents

Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems on equipment, and change contact tips

Ability to use meters, wrenches and sockets, basic hand tools, hydraulic and pneumatic hand tools

Ability to withstand heights for working on cranes

Ability to drive a forklift

Preferred:

Ability to operate lifts

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Bending

Kneeling

Climbing

Squatting

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

Ability to stand for the entire duration of the shift

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Not climate-controlled

Foundry environment

Compensation details: 25-27 Hourly Wage
