Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a hybrid X-Ray/CT role requiring ARRT (R)(CT), SCRQSA (R)(CT), and 1+ year of experience as a Registered Radiological Technologist and CT Technologist.

Details

Hybrid multimodality role covering X-Ray and CT across two campuses

Main campus is an acute care hospital; second location is an 11-bed freestanding ER with X-ray and CT capabilities

One multimodality tech staffs each 12-hour shift at the freestanding ER location

Adult acute care patient population

Uses PACS and Epic for charting

3x12 hour day/night shifts, Friday-Sunday

Friday 6:30a-7p at the main campus in Orangeburg

Saturday 6:30a-7p and Sunday 6:30p-7a at the second location

On-call rotation required among staff at the second location; weekend work may be required if on-call shifts go unfilled

Requirements

ARRT (R)(CT) and SCRQSA (R)(CT) certification required

BLS and CPR certification (AHA) required

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Radiological Technologist and Computed Tomography Technologist

Must have completed an AMA-approved school of radiological technology

Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists

License required if applicable

Epic experience preferred

Driver's license and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

Performs CT scans and radiographic exams according to established practices and procedures

Obtains patient history, explains procedures, and addresses patient concerns

Radiation badge must be provided by the agency

Scrub requirement: black pants and teal top

First-time travelers accepted

Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler

Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized

60-mile radius rule applies for local candidate consideration

All requested time off must be submitted at time of application

Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season (June-November, peak August-September)
