SRE / Cloud Operations Engineer (Kubernetes) - J13129 (Hong Kong)

About the Client: An established enterprise in Hong Kong expanding its microservices architecture. They are actively building out their platform reliability functions and need a hands-on engineer who can transition their infrastructure operations from manual support to automated SRE practices.

The Role & Landscape:

- Administer production Kubernetes environments, handling application deployment, configuration, and monitoring.

- Investigate production incidents, run root-cause analysis, and deploy corrective actions.

- Audit vendor deliverables—including technical docs, source code, and deployment materials—to enforce internal security guidelines.

- Script in Python and Bash to replace repetitive manual operational tasks with standardized workflows.

- Provide essential support outside standard office hours for scheduled maintenance and critical incident handling (compensation leave provided).

What We Are Looking For:

- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.

- At least 3 years of IT experience, with a minimum of 2 years focused on enterprise system support or application implementation.

- Solid, practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes operations (configuration, troubleshooting, monitoring).

- Proven scripting skills in Bash and Python.

- Fluency in written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is mandatory.
