Salary: $80,000 plus super

Summary

Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to the highest standard, including à la carte meals, daily specials and catering orders

• Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and refine the menu, ensuring dishes are creative, on-trend and appeal to our discerning customers

• Maintain a clean, safe and efficient kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations

• Mentor and train junior kitchen staff, sharing your expertise and culinary knowledge

• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss service improvements and new ideas

Required Skills

• Minimum 3-5 years of professional cooking experience is required

• Strong technical cooking skills and a keen eye for flavour, presentation and plating

• Excellent time management and ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen

• Passion for using fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients

• Positive team player with a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to deliver exceptional customer service

• Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate and knowledge of relevant food safety regulations
