Shift: 5x8 Days 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM

Experience: 1+ year

Travelers: First-time travelers accepted

Start Date is Oct 5, 2026

Position Overview

Work in the Doan Lab, receiving specimens primarily from the University Hospital OR. The case mix is approximately 95% benign lesions, along with some colon cancer resections and native liver specimens.

Responsibilities

Grossing benign surgical specimens and biopsies

Grossing select colon cancer resections and native livers

Tissue procurement for research

Selecting tissue from POCs for karyotyping

Supporting additional cancer cases based on workload

Assist with biopsy grossing when staffing requires

Requirements

PA (ASCP) certification required

Minimum 1 year of experience

Strong grossing skills preferred
