We are intentional about building a results driven, empowered culture with a family feel-one where passionate, qualified individuals thrive personally and professionally while contributing to our mission.Job Description: Purchasing AgentFawn River Cultivation Company is seeking a highly organized and detail oriented Purchasing Agent to join our Supply Chain team in Constantine, MI. This role oversees material planning, procurement, inventory control, receiving, distribution, and supplier management in a fast paced, high volume environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all inventory management, purchasing, receiving, and distribution processes.Engage new suppliers and collect onboarding documentation; coordinate setup with sales, marketing, and accounting.Support administrative supply chain functions including RFQs, material catalogs, receiving, and accounts receivable.Resolve invoice holds and discrepancies (incorrect receiving, overbilling, insufficient funds, incorrect billing, etc.).Schedule and procure materials to ensure availability for daily and weekly production needs.Track, report, and escalate supplier performance issues; coordinate resolutions with internal stakeholders.Reconcile purchase orders, receipts, and invoices; collaborate with planning, sourcing, quality, manufacturing, warehousing, and accounts payable.Mitigate out of stock risks and maintain optimal inventory levels.Maintain strong communication with suppliers and internal teams to ensure cost effective, on time deliveries.Develop and refine methods and policies that improve material flow, safety, and cost efficiency.Plan and organize warehousing and material handling to optimize resources and reduce stock out risk.Conduct routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.Execute sourcing strategies aligned with corporate procurement objectives.Participate in network inventory management including product lifecycle, turns, aging stock, redesign impacts, and obsolescence.Identify and pursue benchmarking and cost saving opportunities.Maintain inventory, product catalogs, and API related functions within the seed to sale software system.Perform additional duties as assigned by the Controller.QualificationsExperience in a highly regulated industry preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to thrive in fast paced, rapidly changing environments.Strong adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Highly organized with strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.Customer focused mindset with awareness of internal and external stakeholder needs.Strong problem solving skills with a proactive approach to issue prevention and resolution.Logistics oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.APICS certification a plus.Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles.Must be 21 years of age or older.Must comply with all legal and company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.
