Job Description

What You Will Do At ODM: Office: Health Innovation & Quality Bureau: Pharmacy/Dental Classification: Pharmacologist (PN 20045431) Job Overview: The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking a Pharmacist to be a part of its Pharmacy unit. As a member of the Medicaid Pharmacy team, your responsibilities will include: Providing expert advice and assistance to pharmacists participating in the Ohio Medicaid Program, including development of prior authorization criteria Assisting in the management of the Medicaid Pharmacy Program Providing oversight of the Medicaid pharmacy benefit administrator and Single Pharmacy Benefit Manager Advising the Drug Utilization Review and Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committees Providing managed care pharmacy program oversight Reviewing state and federal rules and regulations related to pharmacy

Qualifications

Licensed to practice pharmacy as issued by State Board of Pharmacy, pursuant to Section 4729.12 of Revised Code; 2 yrs. exp. as licensed pharmacist. Technical Skills: Pharmacy Professional Skills: Collaboration, Attention to Detail, Goal Setting, Problem Solving, Verbal Communication, Written Communication Supplemental Information: Travel required, as needed. Must provide own transportation. Or, in order to operate a state vehicle, you must have a valid driver's license from the state of residence. Resumes and/or attachments are not reviewed. TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT REQUIRED TO REMAIN IN THE CLASSIFICATION AFTER EMPLOYMENT: Continuing pharmacy education as required in Section 4729.12 of the Ohio Revised Code & Sections 4729-7-01 through 47297-07 of the Ohio Administrative Code.
