Job Description of Academic Coach

Assists teachers and school counselor in the education of students; providing emotional support as needed.

Assists teachers and school counselor with the presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises.

Organizes a check-in/check-out system with students who need emotional support under the supervision of the school counselor.

Provides small group friendship lessons that reinforce what is being taught in weekly guidance counseling classes.

Tutors students individually or in small groups to reinforce and follow up learning activities.

Maintains confidentiality of student information.

Supervises students under teacher and school counselor direction.

Assists with building duties.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Manages the winter clothing and supplies needed for at-risk students.

$16.15 per hour
