Expo — Sloopy's Diner

Columbus, OH (Ohio State University campus) $17.00/hr starting, more with experience

Sloopy's Diner is hiring an Expo to run the pass and keep food moving during service. You're the last set of eyes on every plate before it goes out — timing, accuracy, and presentation all run through you.

What you'll do

Call and coordinate tickets between the kitchen and the front

Check every plate for accuracy, temperature, and presentation before it leaves the line

Keep the pass clean, stocked, and organized through the rush

Communicate timing and modifications clearly to cooks and servers

Help with light prep, plating, and closing duties as needed

What we're looking for

Calm and quick under pressure — a busy campus rush doesn't rattle you

Clear communicator who can direct traffic without losing the ticket

Attention to detail on orders, allergies, and special requests

Reliable, on time, and ready to work as part of a team

Previous expo, line, or restaurant experience is a plus, but we'll train the right person

Pay & schedule

$17.00/hr to start, with room to move up based on experience
