Respite Provider

Respite Provider Needed – Eau Claire, WI

We are seeking a compassionate and attentive Respite Provider to work 1:1 with an energetic young boy in the Eau Claire, WI area. The ideal candidate would be someone who has the ability to manage heightened behaviors, promote self-regulation and coping skills, and keep up with a fast-paced kiddo. Care would take place in your home or the community.

WAGE:

· $14.13/hourly

· Mileage Reimbursement (while kiddo is in the vehicle)

SCHEDULE:

· Respite care is to be scheduled between provider & family.

· Authorized 6 hrs. per week; seeking weekday evenings -or weekends.

· Opportunity For Additional Hours: Providers have the opportunity to work with siblings in separate 1v1 sessions throughout the week, allowing for additional hours with the same family.

TASKS:

· Respite care is to be conducted either in the provider’s (your) home -or the community. Community outings are encouraged.

· Provide 1v1 supervision and companionship.

· Provide support during transitions and new routines.

· Deescalate heightened behaviors

· Hang out and have fun! This kiddo enjoys football, playing tag, riding bikes, and anything else that keeps you moving..!

REQUIREMENTS:

· Valid driver’s license

· Reliable transportation

· Must pass a background check

· Previous experience in caregiving, childcare, or respite is preferred but not required
