Lutheran Social Services of WI & UP MI seeks a Full Time Building Technician to support safe, well-maintained facilities that enable high quality care for clients and staff. In this on site role, you will perform routine maintenance, basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks, and respond to work orders across our healthcare and social service sites. You will conduct inspections, complete preventive maintenance, and coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs while following safety and regulatory standards. As part of a faith inspired, trauma informed, and inclusive organization, you'll collaborate with caring teams, receive ongoing training, and help ensure welcoming, functional spaces for vulnerable individuals and families. Responsibilities
Perform routine building maintenance and repairs for LSS facilities, including basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks
Conduct regular inspections to identify safety, maintenance, and compliance issues and address or report them promptly
Respond to work orders and maintenance requests from staff in a timely and professional manner
Maintain cleanliness and functionality of common areas, mechanical rooms, and building systems
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and scheduled services
Support setup and teardown for program activities, meetings, and special events
Follow safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines within healthcare and social service environments
Maintain accurate logs of work performed, inspections, and supplies used
Monitor and manage building systems to support a safe, comfortable environment for clients and staff
Assist in emergency response related to building systems, such as power outages or equipment failures
