The Guild, Rhode Island's largest craft brewery, is seeking an organized, energetic, and hospitality-driven Event Manager to join our growing events team.

This position reports directly to the General Manager of Events and is responsible for managing events across our various locations. The Event Manager will have a main focus on The Nook and Taproom “Anchor” Events, while also assisting where needed throughout the below locations.
About Our Venues
The Nook at The Guild Warren is an intimate waterfront venue hosting rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, engagement parties, private celebrations, and beer-centric experiences.
The Barn at The Guild Pawtucket overlooks Rhode Island’s largest craft brewery hosting weddings, corporate events, nonprofit galas, social celebrations, and large-scale private events.
The Bayley at The Guild Pawtucket is an intimate, private space within our Pawtucket campus leaning more into the cocktail and spirit crowd. This industrial space is perfect for small gatherings for showers and birthdays along with corporate get togethers.
The Guild Garden – Plainville is a seasonal, outdoor beer garden in partnership with Jeff Kinney, the author of a Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and his bookstore An Unlikely Story. Event opportunities here to further grow into small social gatherings and artisan markets.
The Guild PVD at District Park is our newest infrastructure, having been converted from our previously outdoor beer garden, this now year-round opportunity will continue to grow and expand with event offerings.
Position Summary
The Event Manager is responsible for guiding clients through the planning process while ensuring each event is executed with professionalism, efficiency, and exceptional hospitality.
The ideal candidate is someone who:
Brings a consistently positive, upbeat attitude to every interaction
Is exceptionally detail-oriented and highly organized
Communicates professionally and responds promptly to clients and vendors
Can confidently manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously
Takes ownership of projects from initial planning through event completion
Understands the importance of staying on schedule and meeting event planning milestones
Is motivated by achieving event goals, budgets, and outstanding client experiences
Success in this role requires someone who enjoys both office planning and being hands-on during event execution; depending on the time of year, averaging 50% office / 50% event execution.
Responsibilities
Event Planning & Client Experience
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the planning process
Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries and emails
Maintain detailed event timelines, planning documents, and calendars
Guide clients through logistics while ensuring planning deadlines are met
Coordinate with caterers, florists, entertainment, rental companies, photographers, and other vendors when required
Event Operations
Manage event setup, execution, and breakdown
Troubleshoot challenges quickly while maintaining a calm and positive demeanor
Support venue staff and vendors to create an exceptional guest experience
Assist with venue readiness and operational needs before and after events
Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain accurate event files, contracts, payments and planning documents
Keep event calendars and internal systems organized and up to date
Track event details, timelines, and operational notes
Assist in achieving departmental goals, event budgets, and operational efficiencies

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (experience with event software is a plus)
Previous experience in events, hospitality, catering, restaurants, or customer service is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with the right attitude and work ethic.
