We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Research Assistant / Junior Research Assistant to support the logistics and administrative aspects of research conducted in the Circadian Laboratory. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge research within the field of psychiatry and circadian rhythms.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Psychology, Social Science, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or Statistics; (ii) proficiency in spoken Cantonese (proficiency in spoken English and Mandarin is preferred); (iii) a strong command in both written English and Chinese with the Chinese word-processing skills; (iv) proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint); (v) a responsible and proactive work attitude, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively; and (vi) excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Access and Qualtrics is preferred. Prior experience in research, project coordination, administrative support, or related field will be an advantage. The appointee will be responsible for (a) planning, organising, and managing the progression of multiple research projects to ensure smooth operations; (b) maintaining project timelines and assisting in tracking the progress of ongoing studies; (c) assisting in data collection and ensuring accurate and timely data entry; (d) supervising and coordinating student helpers to ensure data records are up-to-date and accurate; (e) handling inquiries and requests from research participants and patients; (f) coordinating recruitment processes and providing clear instructions to participants regarding research projects; (g) providing comprehensive administrative support, including scheduling meetings, managing materials, and maintaining records; (h) supporting research operations and activities by organising project documentation and ensuring smooth workflow; and (i) performing routine administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and other office-related activities. Work on weekends may be required occasionally based on project needs.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for three months, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
