Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax filings.

Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.

Lead tax planning initiatives designed to optimize the organization's tax position.

Research and analyze complex tax issues and provide recommendations to management.

Review income tax provisions and support financial statement tax reporting.

Coordinate and manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies.

Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and assess their impact on the organization.

Develop and improve tax processes, controls, and documentation.

Provide leadership, mentorship, and development for tax staff.

Support special projects, acquisitions, business initiatives, and other strategic activities as needed. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

CPA required or strongly preferred.

5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting and/or industry.

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Experience with tax compliance, tax provision, and tax planning activities.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and tax software platforms.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting.

Experience with multi-state, corporate, partnership, or international tax matters.

Leadership or supervisory experience.
