Surgery - Thoracic Physician

Are you a Thoracic Surgery / Cardio Thoracic Surgery physician searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in Washington might be the perfect fit for you! Opportunity Highlights

Schedule: 10-14 days per month including weekend call; Daily hours 7am-5pm; Weekday night call 5pm-7am; Weekday call coverage 2 nights per week typically plus the weekend (Friday 7am through Monday 7am); Clinic one day per week; Coverage cannot end in the middle of the weekend - typically Friday at 7am or Monday at 7am

Evaluation and Management of Acute Vol/BP Issues

Insertion of Central Line

Insertion of Arterial Line

Insertion of PA Catheter

Insertion of IABP

Minimal Invasive Mitral (Preferred)

Impella 5.5 - Implant/Support

Aortic Valve Conservation Procedure

Aortic Root & Remodeling + EnlargementPreferred Skills:

Lung Resection (including VATs)

Chest Wall or Pleural Procedures

Esophagus and Diaphragm Surgeries

Permanent Pacemaker Placement

AICD (Automatic Internal Cardiac Defibrillator)

Left Ventricular Assist Devices

Bronchoscopy

Credentialing: Estimated 60-90 days; Clean history may qualify for expedited privileges; Fellowship required; Malpractice insurance provided by vendor Minimum Requirements

Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required
