We are seeking an experienced Dealership Warranty Claims Specialist to provide remote claims support to franchised automotive dealerships in Canada.
Applicants must reside in and be legally authorized to work in Canada. This position is fully remote, and the location displayed on the job board is used only for search purposes.
What You Will Do
- Examine repair orders for completeness and factory-warranty eligibility.
- Process and submit OEM claims accurately and within manufacturer deadlines.
- Confirm technician stories, labour operations, causal components, authorization codes, and supporting records.
- Monitor open claims until they are approved and paid.
- Investigate returned, reduced, or rejected claims and make the necessary corrections.
- Prepare claim appeals when supported by the repair documentation.
- Match manufacturer credits to submitted claims and maintain accurate warranty receivables.
- Keep organized records suitable for dealership and manufacturer audits.
- Work closely with service advisors, parts personnel, technicians, and accounting teams.
- Monitor changes to OEM warranty policies, procedures, and technical bulletins.
Qualifications
- Three or more years of automotive warranty-claims experience.
- Experience working for a franchised dealership, automotive dealer group, or warranty-processing provider.
- Practical knowledge of OEM or factory claim submission.
- Experience using CDK, Reynolds and Reynolds, Dealertrack, Tekion, PBS, or another automotive DMS.
- Experience handling claim rejections, adjustments, credits, and payment reconciliation.
- Manufacturer warranty training or certification is an asset.
- Excellent accuracy, organization, written communication, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to manage claim deadlines independently in a remote setting.
This position requires direct automotive manufacturer-warranty experience. Candidates whose experience is limited to general insurance or extended-warranty customer service will not be considered qualified.
