We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead onsite field operations and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to established quality standards. This role partners closely with project management, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to drive successful execution from mobilization through closeout.
Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all day-to-day field operations on assigned construction projects.
Plan, coordinate, and manage onsite activities, including manpower, subcontractor sequencing, materials, equipment, and deliveries.
Maintain and enforce project schedules, identifying potential delays and implementing solutions to keep work progressing.
Supervise subcontractors and trade partners to ensure work meets project plans, specifications, quality expectations, and safety requirements.
Read, interpret, and apply construction drawings, specifications, and project documents in the field.
Provide technical direction regarding construction means, methods, sequencing, and installation requirements.
Serve as the primary onsite safety leader and promote compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Maintain daily reports, document site conditions, track progress, and record extra work or scope changes as needed.
Collaborate with project managers on scheduling, project procedures, budget awareness, procurement coordination, and overall project execution.
Monitor labor productivity, material usage, equipment utilization, and jobsite efficiency.
Identify field issues early, maintain jobsite standards, and coordinate corrective action with project stakeholders.
Support project closeout activities, punch-list completion, inspections, and turnover requirements.
Qualifications
5+ years of construction field supervision, superintendent, or construction management experience.
Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and schedules.
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, jobsite safety standards, and safe construction practices.
OSHA 30-hour certification is preferred.
Experience managing subcontractors, trade coordination, site logistics, and project schedules.
Proficiency with construction technology platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Outlook.
Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced field environment while managing multiple priorities.
Ability to meet jobsite physical requirements, including standing and walking for extended periods; climbing ladders or scaffolding; stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; and lifting or carrying materials up to 25 pounds.
