Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist Position
The Department of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine is recruiting a full-time psychiatrist to join our Consult-Liaison (CL) Psychiatry Service at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital and Westerly Hospital. This position focuses on providing psychiatric consultation across the psychiatric emergency department, medical units, and surgical services at affiliated hospitals serving New London, CT and Westerly, RI.
As an attending psychiatrist on the Consult-Liaison Service, responsibilities include:
Providing expert psychiatric consultation in the psychiatric emergency services department, inpatient medical units, and surgical floors
Managing complex psychiatric, medical, and psychosocial presentations in medically ill patients
Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, social workers, and trainees
Supervising and teaching nurse practitioners and students as part of the academic mission
The Consult-Liaison Psychiatry Service operates within a broader integrated behavioral health framework that supports inpatient consultation, emergency psychiatry, and collaborative care models across multiple hospital settings.
This position carries a faculty appointment in the Department of Psychiatry at the Assistant Professor level, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications
We seek a board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist, with formal fellowship training in Consult-Liaison Psychiatry or Addiction Psychiatry preferred, and demonstrated experience in hospital-based psychiatric consultation. We require state licensing and DEA licenses for both CT and RI.
