Contract must extend through January 2, 2027.

Minimum every other weekend required.

36 hours of orientation provided.\n Highlights:\n \n Float to a diverse range of critical care units including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, CVICU, and Cardiology/Diagnostics based on patient acuity and staffing needs\n Patient ratio of 2:1 across all shifts\n EPIC charting system utilized throughout the facility\n Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and social services\n Exposure to advanced critical care including transplant patients (kidney, liver, lung, heart) and complex multi-system organ dysfunction\n Float policy ensures assignment to units of equivalent or lower acuity\n \n Requirements:\n \n Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required\n Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred\n Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)\n Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (required)\n Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system\n Demonstrated competency in IV start, telemetry, and ventilator management\n Experience with arterial line management, central line care, vasoactive drip titration, and blood product administration\n Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program\n Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, or formal leadership role\n Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing\n \n Why It's a Great Opportunity:\n This Critical Care Float Pool position offers experienced ICU nurses the opportunity to expand their clinical expertise across multiple specialty units while caring for a diverse, high-acuity patient population in a large academic medical center.
