Locations: Charlotte, NC OR Raleigh, NC (Full Relocation Provided)

Our client, a growing mechanical construction firm, is looking for a Project Executive to provide senior-level leadership across their mechanical construction portfolio (piping, plumbing, sheet metal, HVAC). This position is based in our Raleigh office, ideal for local candidates as there is NO TRAVEL, full relocation available for out of town candidates.

This is a strategic leadership role overseeing multiple Project Managers and project teams, owning client relationships at the executive level, and driving the financial performance of a portfolio of projects. You'll lead large-scale commercial, industrial, healthcare, and education projects — the kind you'll be proud to manage and put your name on.

What You'll Own:

Portfolio leadership – oversee multiple concurrent mechanical construction projects and the PMs running them

Client relationships – serve as the executive point of contact for General Contractors and customers

Financial performance – own job costing, budget oversight, and profitability across your portfolio

Team development – mentor and support Project Managers and field supervision

Strategic input – shape scope, specifications, and project strategy alongside engineering and leadership

Risk & compliance – ensure closeout documentation, warranty coverage, and safety standards are met across all projects

Vendor strategy – drive company-wide subcontractor and vendor negotiation strategy

What You Bring:

10+ years of progressive experience in mechanical construction (piping, plumbing, sheet metal, HVAC), including experience managing PMs or multiple project teams

Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred

Track record of successfully leading large, complex mechanical projects in commercial, industrial, healthcare, or education settings

Strong client-facing and negotiation skills

Ability to read/interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and safety documentation

Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Must pass background check and drug test
