Registered NurseThis position involves working in a medical-surgical oncology unit with mixed acuity.
Patients include those with diagnoses such as Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, Acute Myeloid Leukemia, and Multiple Myeloma.
Experience in handling special procedures like autologous and allogeneic transplants is essential.
Additional responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and management of peripheral and central lines.
Strong focus on infection prevention protocols and patient safety is required.
Candidates must have experience with computerized charting, specifically with EPIC.
Interdisciplinary support services include Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy among others.
Professional references are required, including at least one from a manager or supervisor.Must have a minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical and oncology experience.
Hematology-oncology experience is strongly preferred.
Valid compact or state license required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Preferred certifications include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification.
Current acute care experience in the specialty is must-have.
