Design Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for a Design Engineer to join a design services company for mission critical systems. This is based in Ashburn, VA. Essential duties of the Design Engineer include:

Developing, identifying, coordinating, and tracking project requirements

Coordinating detailed telecommunications pathway designs to support inside and outside plant cabling infrastructure to include fill calculations, BIM, etc.

Identifying, writing and responding to Requests for Information (RFI)

Producing coordinated detailed design and construction drawings in AutoCAD or REVIT based on project requirements and specifications.

Creating and managing cable run lists/system labeling

Identifying products, creating Bill of Materials, and developing

Qualifications of the Design Engineer include:

2+ years of experience

Good experience with 2D design with AutoCAD or Revit.

Experience in structured cabling projects including ISP and OSP.

B.S. in Engineering or related field.

Must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance in the future.

Compensation for the Design Engineer:

$100,000 - $115,000 (based on experience)
