Anticipated Schedule

This is a full-time position .

Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM, 4-day work week with one weekday and weekends off, final schedule to be discussed during interview process

Some holidays are required

Compensation

Starting at $25-34/hr, commensurate with experience

What You ll Do

As an Oncology Veterinary Technician you ll work closely with our board-certified oncologists to support patients throughout their treatment from diagnosis through chemotherapy and follow-up. You ll be a steady, compassionate presence for both patients and families.

In this role, you will:

Administer medications and chemotherapy under the supervision of an oncologist

Assist with diagnostics, including lab work, imaging, and CT scans

Support oncology appointments and help manage patient flow and scheduling

Assist with our radioactive I131 program for hyperthyroid cats

Maintain accurate medical records, treatment notes, and drug logs

Provide empathetic client communication and education

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Radiology

Deliver emotional support and patient-centered care during every step of treatment

Who We Are Looking For

Licensed or credentialed veterinary technician, or experienced veterinary assistant

Experience in specialty medicine and/or oncology preferred

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Confidence working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Familiarity with veterinary medical software (e.g., EzyVet, SmartFlow) a plus

A positive attitude and commitment to compassionate care
