Motions Venture PT is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team in Windsor, Colorado. As a full-time PTA, your primary responsibility will be to work collaboratively with licensed Physical Therapists, employing therapeutic techniques to restore patient mobility, function, and independence. Work Environment

This full-time position is located within a hospital setting in Windsor, Colorado, where you will work Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM. You will have the opportunity to engage with a supportive team of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, doctors, and nursing staff. Our facility is equipped with the latest rehabilitation technology and resources to aid in patient recovery and promote a safe and effective treatment environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in implementing individualized physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist, tailoring interventions to meet each patient's unique needs.

Deliver therapeutic interventions such as targeted exercises, manual therapy techniques, gait training, and pain management strategies, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care during each session.

Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, including changes in mobility and function, and communicate these updates effectively to the supervising Physical Therapist to ensure continuity of care.

Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, safety practices, and home care strategies, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery journey.

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with state and facility regulations, ensuring the confidentiality and security of patient information.

Create a positive and supportive atmosphere for patients during therapy sessions, addressing their emotional and psychological needs as well as their physical rehabilitation.

Collaborate with the entire healthcare team, participating in case discussions and contributing insights to optimize patient treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve working with a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatric patients, who may be recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions. You will support patients at various stages of their rehabilitation, employing personalized approaches to foster their motivation and adherence to treatment plans. The hospital environment will enable you to gain valuable experience with a range of diagnoses and therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

An active Colorado PTA license is required to practice in the state.

At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, with a preference for experience working specifically with adults or geriatric patients to enhance patient care quality.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for fostering effective relationships with patients, families, and team members.

A commitment to patient-centered care, requiring the ability to empathize with patients during their rehabilitation journeys.

Preferred Experience

While those with less experience are welcome to apply, candidates with 1+ years of experience in outpatient, skilled nursing, or inpatient rehabilitation settings will be given preference. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and rehabilitation documentation will be advantageous in managing patient data effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
