Filler Operator / Machine Operator
Reports to: Production Lead

The Filler Machine Operator is accountable for:
Key Responsibilities
· Set up, operate, monitor, and shut down filling and packaging equipment according to established
procedures.
· Maintain a consistent production flow while meeting safety, quality, and productivity expectations.
· Perform equipment changeovers, basic adjustments, and minor troubleshooting.
· Monitor fill weights, container seals, labels, lot codes, packaging, and overall product appearance.
· Complete required production, quality, downtime, waste, and inventory documentation accurately.
· Supply the production line with containers, lids, labels, cartons, and other packaging materials.
· Identify and report equipment malfunctions, product defects, safety hazards, and process deviations.
· Follow GMPs, sanitation procedures, allergen-control requirements, and food-safety policies.
· Clean and sanitize equipment and production areas according to established schedules and
procedures.
· Minimize product loss, packaging waste, equipment downtime, and production interruptions.
· Communicate effectively with supervisors, quality personnel, maintenance technicians, and other
production employees.
· Participate in preventive maintenance, continuous improvement, and workplace-safety activities.
· Follow all company policies and applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
· Perform other production-related duties as assigned.
Who You Are:
· Three or more years of experience operating filling, packaging, or related production equipment in a
manufacturing environment.
· Knowledge of GMPs, sanitation, food safety, quality control, and safe manufacturing practices.
· Ability to perform machine setup, changeovers, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
· Ability to read and follow work orders, batch records, standard operating procedures, and safety
instructions.
· Strong attention to detail, especially when checking fill weights, lot codes, labels, seals, and packaging
quality.
· Basic math, measurement, and production-documentation skills.
· Reliable attendance and ability to arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
· Ability to communicate clearly and work cooperatively as part of a production team.
· Familiarity with FDA-regulated production environments, HACCP, preventive controls, or similar food-
safety programs.
· Experience with pumps, fillers, conveyors, cappers, labelers, case packers, palletizers, or related
equipment.
· Forklift or powered industrial truck experience.
· Basic mechanical aptitude and experience supporting preventive maintenance.
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Pay Scale: $18 - $22 per hr.
Full-time
