Host / Hostess (Part-Time)

Ghost Isle Brewery is looking for a friendly, reliable Host/Hostess to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring smooth front-of-house operations.

Position Overview:

You will greet guests as they arrive, manage waitlists, and coordinate seating to support efficient service. A great host sets the tone for the entire guest experience by delivering a positive first impression and keeping things organized during busy shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet guests promptly with a welcoming and positive attitude

Manage waitlists and provide accurate wait times when needed

Seat guests efficiently while balancing server sections

Provide menus and answer basic questions about the restaurant

Answer phones, take reservations, and assist with guest inquires

Maintain clear communication with servers, bartenders, and management

Assist in resolving guest concerns in a professional manner

Keep the host stand and entry area clean and organized

Support other front-of-house positions as needed

Help maintain smooth flow between dining and bar areas What We're Looking For:

Strong customer service and communication skills

Positive attitude and ability to stay clam under pressure

Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Comfortable standing for extended periods

Willingness to learn and take direction

Basic computer/POS skills are a plus (we will train)

Restaurant experience is helpful, but not required Availability:

We are specifically hiring for shifts during:

Thursday & Friday evenings

Saturday (day & evening)

Sunday from about 11:30am-5:00pm This role is ideal for someone looking for consistent part-time hours during these times.
