Electronics Engineer

Job Title

TechINT Solutions Group is looking for a skilled individual to work on site at the Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center (TEDAC) Technical Exploitation Unit (TExU).

Job Description

Perform electronic and trend analysis of IEDs and associated components to include device identification, radio frequency and signal characterization, electrical schematic reconstruction, electronic data recovery and possible trends in IED related matters. This will help capture critical information regarding the device's functionality to provide detailed analysis reports to law enforcement organizations, military services, and international partners.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or other applicable field.

Must have TS clearance active to be considered.

Experience testing electronic or electrical devices with standard lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, RF signal generators, waveform generators, audio analyzers, DSP analyzers, and multimeters

Experience performing analysis, generating schematics, and troubleshooting electronic or electrical devices to the component level in various conditions

Knowledge of electronic circuit design and PCB layout

Knowledge of physical interfaces used for inter-IC communication, including I2C, SPI, LPC, or PCIE

Ability to prepare written documents, including reports, test plans, design specifications, requirements documents, and training materials

Ability to brief and present findings to clients, customers, and external partners, interact with client engineers, and respond to technical questions and requests from customers

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time internationally

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Chain of Custody and evidence handling procedures in a forensic laboratory

Experience imaging, extracting, and parsing data from electronic devices

Experience with reverse engineering tools, including IDA Pro, OllyDbg, or Ghidra

Knowledge of microcontroller architecture, including ARM or RISC-V, and assembly language programming

Ability to program with Python, C, and C++ programming languages
