Process Consultant

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Process Consultant for a contract position with a Major Utility Company located in Columbus, OH. This is a 4+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for documenting, analyzing, and maintaining business processes to support operational excellence, standardization, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Process Consultant partners with business stakeholders to capture current-state processes, develop process documentation, create standard operating procedures (SOPs), and support requirements gathering for process improvement and technology initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain enterprise process documentation including Level 1, 2, and 3 process maps

Facilitate process discovery sessions with subject matter experts and business stakeholders

Document current-state processes using approved process mapping standards and tools

Create, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, Job Aids, and Process Narratives

Assist with gathering and documenting business requirements for process improvement and system enhancement initiatives

Develop training materials to support process changes and new procedures

Identify process documentation gaps, redundancies, and standardization opportunities

Support Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, and Business Transformation initiatives

Requirements:

Experience developing process maps, SOPs, work instructions, or training documentation

Strong interviewing and facilitation skills

Excellent written communication and documentation skills

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Desired skills:

Experience with Visio, Whiteboard, Signavio, or similar process mapping tools

Experience working within Operational Excellence, Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Process Management organizations

Familiarity with business analysis techniques, project management and requirements gathering

Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification

Pay range: up to $45.57 per hour
