QA Testing Analyst
Location: Columbus, Ohio (Onsite) Rate: 30-40hr on w2 Salary: $75,000
Role Overview
The QA Testing Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and accessibility of applications through comprehensive manual and automated testing practices. This role works closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and other QA professionals to validate business requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions. The analyst participates throughout the software development lifecycle, helping identify defects early, improve testing processes, and support continuous delivery initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to create and execute manual and automated test cases.
Develop, maintain, and execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end test suites.
Design and maintain automated tests using approved testing frameworks and tools.
Perform API, database, and user interface testing to validate application functionality and data integrity.
Identify, document, track, and verify resolution of software defects while providing clear status updates.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and fellow QA team members throughout the Agile development lifecycle.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
Validate releases in test and production environments, including post-deployment verification activities.
Support quality, accessibility, security, and compliance standards while contributing to continuous process improvement.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of software testing experience, including manual and automated testing. This includes 1 year of experience in mobile testing using mobile browsers and applications, and 3 years of experience creating and executing test cases from business requirements and user stories.
Technical Skills: 3 years of experience with JavaScript or TypeScript is required, along with 3 years of experience writing SQL queries. An understanding of Agile software development methodologies is also necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with WebDriverIO.
Experience with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins.
Experience with ADO and Azure Test Plans.
Understanding of responsiveness testing and Web Accessibility/WCAG.
Experience in the financial industry and in a Regulatory and Compliance environment is preferred.
