Purpose of the Role:
The Project Manager will join our client's Electronic Health Record (EHR) Programme, with a specifi c focus on system integrations. This role sits at the intersection of complex technical delivery and strong stakeholder collaboration, and will suit a project management professional who thrives in that space — bringing structure, rigour and momentum to a high-visibility, enterprise-wide Programme.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess and apply appropriate project management methodologies and delivery approaches to support the successful delivery of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) programme.
- Lead the planning and delivery of system integration projects, ensuring technical activities, dependencies, milestones and deliverables are clearly defined and effectively coordinated.
- Facilitate project initiation and planning, translating business and technical requirements into practical project plans, timelines, deliverables and success measures.
- Coordinate cross-functional technical and business teams to ensure that integration activities progress effectively and remain aligned to the
overall EHR programme objectives.
- Manage project stakeholders across business, clinical, technical and external/vendor environments, ensuring clear communication, alignment and timely decision-making.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops and working sessions, ensuring actions, decisions, risks and dependencies are clearly documented and followed through.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, scope changes and delivery constraints, escalating where appropriate.
- Ensure that system integration deliverables are delivered within agreed timelines, quality standards and project requirements.
- Provide clear and concise project reporting to relevant stakeholders and governance forums, highlighting progress, key risks, issues, dependencies and required decisions.
- Work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to support the effective coordination of interfaces, system dependencies, data fl ows and integration activities across the EHR environment.
- Facilitate project close-out, ensuring deliverables are accepted, outstanding actions are addressed, documentation is completed and lessons learned are captured.
- Contribute to the broader project, change and benefits management
requirements of the Business Performance Department, ensuring that project outcomes support the successful adoption and realisation of the EHR programme's objectives.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in project management, with a proven track record of managing complex technology and/or systems integration projects from initiation through to successful delivery.
- Demonstrated experience managing large, complex or multi-disciplinary projects, preferably within healthcare technology, Electronic Health Records (EHR), enterprise applications, digital transformation or systems integration environments.
- Proven experience coordinating technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors and other third parties across complex project environments.
- Experience managing project risks, issues, dependencies, scope, timelines, resources and stakeholder expectations.
- Demonstrated experience working within structured project governance, reporting and change management frameworks.
- Experience with system integrations, interfaces, data flows or interoperability would be highly advantageous.
Educational & Professional Registrations:
- Degree in Informatics/Computer Science/Information Technology or relevant qualification
- Certification in Project Management
- PRINCE2 or PMP/CAPM certification
Skills and Attributes:
- MS Office suite (including MS Project and Visio) and other relevant software, e.g. Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools
- PRINCE2 and/or PMBOK standards
- Cost management and budgeting principles
- Project management principles, processes, tools, techniques and applications
- Project management and delivery within a larger enterprise project portfolio management context
- Change management principles and applications
- Contract and service level agreement (SLA) management
- Sound knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
