Salary:

HK$30,809 – HK$56,263 (HGPS point 11 - 23) per month including Monthly Allowance

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity

may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities:

To assist Senior Manager / Building Services Inspector to discharge the following duties:

1.

Prepare planned and preventive facility maintenance schedules and the procurement of spare parts with store management for the above plants equipment.

2.

Assist in the draft and vetting of the specifications for the tender and maintenance contract for the above plants equipment.

3.

Arrange, supervise and manage the shift facility operating teams for the operation of the electrical system, steam boilers, medical gas plants, air-conditioning, plants and other E&M plants and building services installations.

4.

Support the handover process of the new clinical block, including witnessing testing and commissioning, defect identification, rectification monitoring, and preparation of handover documentation.

5.

Supervise all technical staff and artisan to assure an acceptable standard of performance and quality of services.

6.

Monitor the maintenance, repair, alteration addition and improvement works carried out by outside contractors of the hospitals.

7.

Perform on-call duties or work outside normal working hours or stand-by for any emergency duties as and when required.

8.

Carry out any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Liaise with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders on maintenance issues, alteration works, and project related matters.

Entry Requirements:

1.

A Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building Services Engineering or Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or Building Studies from Hong Kong Polytechnic / Hong Kong Polytechnic University / Hong Kong Technical College / Hong Kong Technical Institute /

Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, or equivalent.

2.

(a) Grade E or above in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in HKCEE, or equivalent;

OR

(b) Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSE, or equivalent.

3.

At least 3 years of relevant experience such as building services installation works and/or building projects

after attaining the required academic qualification.

4.

Obtained valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card).

Preferable Attributes / Exposure:

1.

BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Building Services Engineering from recognized

university or equivalent.

2.

Possession of supervisory experience.

3.

Registered Electrical Worker with Class “A” or above as registered in the list of EMSD.

4.

Registered of authorized person of medical gas pipeline system, and/or other certificates.

5.

Fluent and good written English and Chinese.

6.

Outgoing, able to work under pressure and stressful situation, including crises.

Familiarity with BIM processes, testing & commissioning procedures, and handover protocols for major

construction projects is an advantage.

Knowledge of building services systems commonly used in hospitals (e.g., HTM standards for medical gases, fire

compartmentation, HVAC for clinical areas) is highly preferred.
