BHS Workforce is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Atlanta, Georgia.

Requirements:

Active RN license in state of practice (or compact license as applicable)

BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy

BLS and ACLS certification required

PCCN (Progressive Care Certified Nurse) preferred

1+ years of stepdown/telemetry experience required

Experience with telemetry monitoring and moderate-acuity patient management

Duties:

Provide nursing care to patients requiring closer monitoring than Med-Surg but not ICU-level care

Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, identifying and responding to changes in condition

Administer medications, including select IV drips, per physician orders

Assess, monitor, and manage patients transitioning from ICU or at risk of clinical deterioration

Collaborate with physicians, intensivists, and interdisciplinary team on plan of care

Respond to rapid response and code interventions as needed

Educate patients and families on condition, treatment plan, and recovery process

Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient response in the EMR

Manage a moderate patient load per facility acuity and staffing guidelines (typically 3-4 patients)

Ensure infection control and fall prevention protocols are followed
