About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Regulatory Affairs Technician to support food labeling, product specifications, and regulatory compliance for a variety of branded, private-label, and bulk food products. This position works closely with Product Development, Quality, Sales, and Art teams to ensure labels, packaging, specifications, and product documentation meet U.S., Canadian, and customer requirements.

Job Responsibilities

Review and develop food product labels for compliance with FDA, USDA, and customer requirements

Create and verify ingredient statements, Nutrition Facts Panels, and allergen declarations for candy, snacks, specialty foods, and other food products

Develop and maintain internal and customer-facing technical product specifications

Submit and maintain accurate product information throughout the commercialization process

Review and support product claims, including kosher, non-GMO, RSPO, and Fair Trade

Partner with Product Development, Quality, Sales, and Art teams throughout label development and approval

Proof packaging artwork before printing to verify regulatory compliance and accuracy

Maintain regulatory documentation, project files, specifications, and customer records

Compile and manage raw material and finished product specifications

Monitor U.S. and Canadian food labeling regulations and communicate applicable changes internally

Manage supplier compliance documentation and respond to customer requests for allergen forms, specification sheets, COO documentation, and related information

Support Regulatory Affairs and Operations with additional cross-functional projects

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related scientific field

Minimum 3 years of experience in food industry regulatory affairs and labeling

Strong knowledge of FDA food labeling regulations, including 21 CFR

Experience developing and reviewing ingredient statements, Nutrition Facts Panels, allergen declarations, and food product labels

Familiarity with Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) labeling requirements is a plus

Familiarity with QMS systems, SOPs, and controlled documentation

Experience with ESHA Genesis R&D, Trustwell, or similar nutrition analysis software

Experience with product specification or commercialization systems such as Oracle or similar platforms

Knowledge of food product claims and certifications, including kosher, non-GMO, RSPO, and Fair Trade

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word

Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, or similar collaboration tools

Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a food manufacturing environment
