Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of facility equipment through routine maintenance, specialized repairs, and installations. Working closely within a small maintenance team, this technician supports the facility operations by maintaining equipment reliability and safety compliance while reporting directly to the Maintenance or Facility Manager. The role primarily involves routine day shifts and requires hands-on involvement with a variety of maintenance tasks and emergency repairs.

Responsibilities

Perform equipment repair and emergency repairs to minimize downtime

Conduct preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan

Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to identify root causes

Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols

Install and set up new equipment as required

Collaborate effectively with a small maintenance team

Report work progress and issues to the Maintenance or Facility Manager

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of maintenance experience

Proficiency in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting

Mechanical repair and electrical systems knowledge

Strong adherence to safety compliance

Skilled in the use of hand and power tools

Effective communication skills
