Job Title
The Layout Field Engineer Will Be Responsible For:
Set up and maintain permanent control throughout the line and grade portion of the project.
Apply expertise in using Total Station, Robotic Total Station, and/or Theodolite equipment.
Utilize data surveying software proficiently.
Validate dimensions by reviewing architectural and structural drawings before execution.
Ensure precision and quality in your work, constantly seeking improvements and monitoring quality levels.
Identify and resolve any discrepancies in drawings prior to execution.
Collaborate with the project lead to ensure proper scheduling and sequencing for the line and grade portion.
Complete layouts accurately, efficiently, and within the project timeline.
Provide layout information to the project team for seamless execution.
The Successful Layout Field Engineer Candidate Will Have:
Proficient in using Total Station, Robotic Total Station, and/or Theodolite equipment.
Experienced with data surveying software.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Strong understanding of Coordinate Geometry, Geometric Theory, and Geometric Functions for establishing survey/data/layout points.
5+ years of experience in field engineering, surveying, and layout for large-scale Commercial, Self-Perform General Contractor, or Concrete Contractor projects.
Some experience with self-perform concrete is required.
Experience with a variety of project types, with an emphasis on Commercial/Industrial sectors.
Knowledge of construction principles and practices with experience on projects over $1 million.
The Layout Field Engineer Will Be Offered:
Salary: $75,000 - $90,000
