Job Description

DUTIES:

1. Plan & organize activities concerned with the construction & maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.

2. Provide management oversight for all phases of construction projects, including coordination of workers, material, and equipment, ensuring that specs are followed and work is proceeding with the schedule and within budget.

3. Manage day to day operational aspects of the project work as a team with the project superintendent, quality control manager and shite safety and health officer.

4. Effectively apply and enforce company project control systems and ensure project documentation is maintained in accordance with company procedures.

5. Deliver strong leadership and guidance to field personnel.

6. Initiate and maintain relationship with the client/owner and A/E.

7. Facilitate team and owner project meetings.

8. Hold regular team status meetings and effectively communicate relevant project information to stakeholders.

9. Oversee schedule development and management to ensure timely project completion.

10. Resolve project issues in a timely manner.

11. Minimize exposure and risk on projects.

12. Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.

13. Motivate the team to work together in an effective and efficient manner.

14. Participate in marketing, estimating, bidding, and contract negotiations of assigned projects.

15. Review and approve all invoice and subcontractor payment applications.

16. Ensure timely and accurate invoicing for all work in place.

17. Perform timely pricing, approval and execution of Change Order Management.

18. Ensure compliance with project safety requirements and applicable federal regulations

19. Complete other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience working on federal projects

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management/Engineering or the equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience.
