## Position Overview

JoyFunFood is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and reliable **Bookkeeper** to manage daily financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records. The successful candidate will support the company’s accounting operations by recording transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring financial data remains accurate and up to date.

The ideal candidate has strong accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in a remote environment.

## Key Responsibilities

* Record and maintain accurate financial transactions, including income, expenses, invoices, and payments

* Perform account reconciliations and verify financial records for accuracy

* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

* Prepare and maintain financial reports, spreadsheets, and documentation

* Monitor transactions and assist with monthly financial closing procedures

* Track expenses, receipts, and supporting financial documents

* Maintain organized digital accounting records and files

* Assist with payroll processing and financial data preparation

* Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting-related issues

* Collaborate with management and external accounting professionals as needed

* Ensure compliance with company financial policies and confidentiality standards

## Required Qualifications

* Previous experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Assistant, or similar financial role

* Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices

* Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms

* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet management

* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

* Strong organizational and time-management skills

* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

* Professional handling of confidential financial information

* Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote work environment

## Preferred Qualifications

* Experience supporting small businesses, e-commerce companies, or remote teams
