Location: Michigan

Pay: $26–30/hour, commensurate with experience

Schedule: Full-time, Year-Round Work, Day Shift

Green Shield Deck Builders is looking for experienced, high-performing individuals ready to take the next step in their careers. This is a W-2 employee position (not 1099) with steady, year-round work—no winter layoffs.

As a Crew Leader, you’ll play a key role in overseeing job-site execution, supporting crew performance, and ensuring high-quality builds.

What You’ll Do

Lead and support the day-to-day work of a 3-person crew

Build high-quality residential decks from start to finish

Execute advanced construction tasks (framing, measuring, cutting, assembly)

Ensure safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met on every job

Train and mentor Crew I and II team members

Travel to residential job sites daily

Maintain clean, organized, and productive job sites

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old

Valid driver’s license (required)

Reliable personal vehicle (required)

Willingness and ability to travel to residential build sites daily (required) 150 mile radius

At least 3 years of experience in residential construction, landscaping, or general labor

At Least 1 year of carpentry and framing experience

At least 1 year of leadership or management experience

Ability to work full-time, Monday–Friday (with occasional overtime)

Ability to lift 50+ lbs consistently throughout the day

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
