Job Description

The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is seeking a Cafeteria Security Aide for Lincoln Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. We are a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre-K through grade 12 students, in a vibrant learning community of 17 state of the art buildings in west-central Ohio. We are Wildcats! As a Cafe Security Aide you are required to:

A High School diploma or equivalent

Possess Educational Aide Permit issued by the Ohio Department of Education

As a Cafe Security Aide you will:

Assisting students in proper behavior before, during, and exiting the cafeteria

Assist with decorations of the cafeteria, especially to reinforce good behavior and eating habits

Assisting staff and students in keeping the cafeteria clean and neat. This may at times include the picking up of litter and helping wipe tables

Ability to operate cafeteria tables and assists in folding and moving tables as needed

Carries out established behavior modification programs

Assist with recordkeeping functions when deemed necessary. This may be in the school office when cafeteria duties completed

Participating and supervising during emergency preparedness drills

Assisting with feeding, lifting, and/or moving students

Performs other duties as assigned

What We Offer: As a contracted employee, this position works is contracted at 2 hours per day but can work up to 2.5 hours per day, 188 days per year. Monday - Friday 10:35am - 1:10pm or as assigned. Starting salary is $20.69 per hour. Salary and other details available online at: 1,500 bonus paid in November***
